Watch Dekmantel’s documentary on seminal Dutch techno label, Djax Up

Miss Djax, Random XS, Wladimir M and Stefan Robbers appear in the film...

Dekmantel has released a new documentary on the seminal Dutch techno label, Djax Up.

The Amsterdam crew hit the Dutch city of Eindhoven, where the imprint was founded in 1988, to speak with bosswoman Miss Djax, who appeared in our rundown of electronic music's most influential female pioneers. Producers Random XS, Wladimir M and Stefan Robbers— AKA Acid Junkies— also make appearances.

The film, entitled 'Djax Your Body', charts the story from formative years in the Bullit record store to the first EP to be released, by 24K, and onto the present day via artists such as K'Alexi, Felix Da Housecat, Mike Dearborn and Steve Poindexter.

A vinyl-only compilation album, 'Djax-Re-Up', has also been unveiled with a second instalment en route in the near future.

Next month will see the return of Dekmantel's flagship festival in Amsterdam, with a main stage closing set from Palms Trax and a surprise guest set for the much-loved Selectors stage.
